County police said in a statement that officers responded to the 4100 block of William Penn Highway at 9:13 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery.
Allegheny County police Superintendent Christopher Kearns said the suspect surrendered near that scene and several firearms were recovered.
As of early Thursday morning, that suspect’s name had not been publicly released.
