A Pittsburgh man faces double homicide charges in connection with the deaths of two bystanders during an Oct. 15 shooting police said was “a concerted assault stemming from gang activity.”
Jaylone Hines, 21, is charged with two counts of homicide in connection with the fatal shooting of Betty Jean Averytt, 59, and Jacquelyn C. Mehalic, 33. Police have said both were bystanders waiting at a nearby bus stop and were not part of the dispute.
