SPRINGFIELD, Pa. —
Three teenagers from the Pittsburgh area were taken to a hospital following a crash in Mercer County on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened along Tower Road in Springfield Township.
State police said it was raining at the time of the crash and the 18-year-old woman from Slippery Rock who was driving the vehicle was going too fast for the conditions.The vehicle slid off the road on a curve, hit a tree and then overturned.
The driver was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
Also taken to a hospital were the woman’s two passengers, a 19-year-old woman from West Newton and an 18-year-old woman from Pittsburgh.
None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
