SPRINGFIELD, Pa. —
Three teenagers from the Pittsburgh area were taken to a hospital following a crash in Mercer County on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened along Tower Road in Springfield Township.State police said it was raining at the time of the crash and the 18-year-old woman from Slippery Rock who was driving the vehicle was going too fast for the conditions.
The vehicle slid off the road on a curve, hit a tree and then overturned.
The driver was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
Also taken to a hospital were the woman’s two passengers, a 19-year-old woman from West Newton and an 18-year-old woman from Pittsburgh.
None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
