PITTSBURGH — A man was found shot to death late Monday night inside a car in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, police said.
An officer made the discovery after a ShotSpotter alert notified police of multiple gunshots fired just after 10:30 p.m. along Monticello Street.
Police said they do not yet have any suspects.
The victim was identified as Eric Thomas, 22. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Monday’s night’s deadly shooting was the second in less than 24 hours in Homewood. Early Monday morning, a woman was found shot on Blackadore Avenue and later died at a hospital.

Community members said these acts of violence are heartbreaking.
“I just wish you all would just stop, just stop please. That’s the only thing I’m saying. Just stop killing each other,” Ella Easley, of Homewood, said.
