Today, backing the president is downright risky. People are losing their jobs, children are being kicked out of class and businesses are boycotted because their owners support President Trump. Imagine.
Hitting back at the Democrats’ assault on Candidate Trump in 2016, I wrote a piece for the Fiscal Times titled: “Five Reasons a Sane Person Might Still Vote for Trump.” The arguments I highlighted hold up well, and are perhaps even more persuasive today.
First up: Education.
If you believe in equal opportunity, you want all youngsters to receive a decent education. In many Democrat-led cities, Hispanic and African-American kids do not receive one.
And yet the teachers’ unions and their Democratic Party backers refuse all accountability or reforms, condemning millions of Black and brown children to second-class status.
The State of Florida sent letters to 100,000 businesses asking if they’re controlled by the Communist Party of China. Dr. Todd Johnson has welcomed patients in Fort Myers for three decades, yet he received one of those letters in the mail. “Thought it was unusual. After 30 years of practice, I was surprised someone wanted […]
Indiana Borough Police have arrested a teenaged girl and acquired an arrest warrant for a 20-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of a Pittsburgh man who was found early Saturday in a parking lot.

Edmonds, who will turn 18-years-old Oct. 24, is charged as an adult.
Police have also charged Isaiah A. Moore of Philadelphia with identical complaints, plus a theft charge, in connection with the shooting. Investigators are looking for Moore.
Police said they are trying to identify two other possible suspects who were in the area at the time of the shooting and were observed on security video running from the Carriage House East apartment complex.
Anyone with information is asked to call borough police at 724-349-2121.
Giuliani: Media is ignoring Hunter Biden laptop story because of George Soros
Rudy Giuliani explains why the media has been reluctant to promote his bombshell story about Hunter Biden’s laptop:
Sure, the U.S. Treasury Department may have declared one of his former associates—Ukrainian parliamentarian Andrii Derkach, who worked with Giuliani on his hunt for dirt on the Bidens—to be an “active Russian agent.” But that’s some Deep State talk, he added. “The chance that Derkach is a Russian spy is no better than 50/50.”
“My guess is that George Soros is behind this counter-offensive… because he wants to create a socialist country,” Giuliani baselessly alleged. “He’d like to see us collapse and see us taken over by the international… whatever.” Giuliani said that Derkach’s eventual sanctioning was the result of “an intelligence ploy to try to create problems for Trump—because Derkach could probably bury Obama.”
Oh . . . kay. In related news, Giuliani says he plans to continue dribbling out dirt on Hunter Biden for the next couple of weeks. Apparently he has faith that eventually the New York Times will crack and start putting it all on their front page.
Wendy Bell no longer is affiliated with KDKA-Radio, an Entercom spokesman said Friday night.
The announcement follows her removal from the air in early September after she suggested on her show that park rangers should “shoot on sight” people vandalizing public monuments.
Entercom, which owns the radio station, said both it and Ms. Bell had mutually agreed to part ways.
In a video segment of her live show, which was posted June 26 to her “Wendy Bell Radio” Facebook page, Ms. Bell said: “My easy solution for the park rangers and hopefully snipers who are going to be watching for this is to shoot on sight. Shoot, done. No more messing with monuments. You want to mess with a monument? Done, get out.”
The question is: where will Wendy Bell show up next? Controversial comments like Bell puts out make people take notice of important issues.
Donald Trump and Joe Biden have ripped each other apart with controversial comments in the hopes of getting the public to go their way. But the voters decide that issue rather than what a large corporation did in Wendy Bell’s case.
Ms. Bell was fired from WTAE-TV in 2016 after 18 years when she made comments deemed racist on her official Facebook page following a mass shooting in Wilkinsburg in which five adults and an unborn child were killed during a backyard cookout. Ms. Bell began working for KDKA-Radio in January 2019.
Wendy Bell’s website tells us:

Joe Biden and his handlers are working around the clock to trick voters into believing that Joe Biden doesn’t actually mean what he says. His “real” policy positions are those laid out on his website…

SpaceX will continue the deployment of its Starlink constellation with the launch of another sixty satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket on Sunday. Liftoff from Florida’s Kennedy Space Centre is expected at 08:27 Eastern Time (12:27 UTC).
Sunday’s launch is the thirteenth Falcon 9 mission to deploy operational Starlink satellites, designated Starlink v1.0 L13. This continues the first phase of Starlink deployment, which is aimed at setting up an initial operating capability and allowing SpaceX to begin rolling out its service. To do this, SpaceX expects to require at least 1,440 satellites in the first tranche alone. Since beginning operational launches, 713 Starlink spacecraft have been placed in orbit – with Sunday’s mission expected to add another sixty – although some of the spacecraft launched on earlier missions have already re-entered the atmosphere.
Starlink is a network of satellites which SpaceX intend to use to offer a worldwide commercial satellite internet service, with a particular focus on areas where traditional broadband services provide poor coverage. Unlike previous satellite broadband services, Starlink was designed to employ vast numbers of satellites in low orbits, reducing the round-trip time for signals and therefore the latency of connection compared to spacecraft in geostationary orbit. Beyond the initial 1,440-satellite-strong constellation, SpaceX has plans to launch up to 30,000 more spacecraft, replacing existing ones as they fail and adding new capacity as the system is rolled out worldwide. The company’s factory can produce 120 new satellites every month.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Fueled by extreme heat and dry, windy conditions, wildfires ravaged California in September, blazing through almost 1.9 million acres, destroying nearly 1,000 homes and killing at least three people. One wildfire, the Creek Fire, became the largest single inferno in California history and grew so fierce it spun up fire tornadoes with 125-mph winds.
On Friday, the request for federal assistance to help pay for the recovery from a half-dozen of those fires spun up a tornado of its own. Like the proverbial tempest, the storm over the money had been contained in a teapot by the day’s end.
The day began with news that the Trump administration had refused to grant California an emergency declaration that would make hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding available for areas devastated by the Creek Fire and five others. Federal officials said the most recent application did not meet the criteria for federal relief.
Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), the ranking Democratic member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is facing calls to be replaced on the committee or retire after speaking positively about this week’s confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
Feinstein has faced heavy criticism, with some calling for her to retire in recent days. Ilyse Hogue, president of abortion rights group NARAL Pro-Choice America, was the latest to slam the senator. On Friday, she called for Feinstein be replaced on the committee.
“This nomination is illegitimate and this process is a sham,” Hogue said in a statement. “Tens of millions of Americans have already voted and majorities have said unequivocally that they want to choose the next President who should fill this seat. Amy Barrett and this power grab pose a grave threat to every freedom and right we hold dear and tears the very fabric of our democracy.”
Senator Dianne Feinstein is facing a torrent of criticism, and calls to retire or step down from her position as ranking Democratic member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, after praising confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actress Rhonda Fleming, the fiery redhead who appeared with Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston, Ronald Reagan and other film stars of the 1940s and 1950s, has died. She was 97.
Fleming’s assistant Carla Sapon told The New York Times that Fleming died Wednesday in Santa Monica, California.
From her first film in color, “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court ” (1949) with Bing Crosby, Fleming became immensely popular with producers because of her vivid hues. It was an attraction she would later regret.
“Suddenly my green eyes were green. My red hair was flaming red. My skin was porcelain white,” Fleming remarked in a 1990 interview. “There was suddenly all this attention on how I looked rather than the roles I was playing.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank announced that it will be hosting another food distribution event in Johnstown early next month.
The food drive will take place at the Galleria Mall, from noon to 2 p.m., on November 4th.

Pittsburgh firefighters were responding to the scene in the city’s Mount Washington neighborhood.
The crash happened in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue around 5 p.m.
Officials said the driver of the Amazon delivery van told police he was parked on a steep hill with the parking brake engaged on the intersection Cuthbert Street.
He said he was out of the vehicle delivering packages when it rolled down the street onto Virginia Avenue.
Police said the delivery van clipped a vehicle on Virginia Avenue before hitting a house. There were no injuries.
People’s Gas arrived at the scene to turn off gas lines as the delivery van had hit a meter.
There is “no indication of collision” between bits of discarded Russian and Chinese space hardware.
LeoLabs had said a defunct Russian satellite and a discarded Chinese rocket segment were likely to come within 25m of each other.
It said there were no signs of debris over Antarctica on Friday morning.
Other experts thought Kosmos-2004 and the ChangZheng rocket stage would pass with a far greater separation.
With the objects having a combined mass of more than 2.5 tonnes and relative velocity of 14.66km/s (32,800mph), any collision would have been catastrophic and produced a shower of debris.
And given the altitude of almost 1,000km, the resulting fragments would have stayed around for an extremely long time, posing a threat to operational satellites.
Former Vice President Joe Biden defended his plan to repeal President Trump’s tax cuts on the wealthy and said it’s “absolutely” appropriate to raise taxes during a struggling economy.
During an ABC town hall Thursday night, Biden said about $1.3 trillion of Trump’s $2 trillion tax cuts went to the top one percent of earners and he only wants to repeal the tax breaks for the wealthiest of Americans.
“That’s what I’m talking about eliminating, not all the tax cuts that are out there,” Biden said.
ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Biden if it was “wise” to raise taxes when the economy is weak right now amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Absolutely,” Biden said and then went on to cite a Moody’s analysis of his tax plan saying it creates jobs and boosts the GDP.
A man was found fatally shot Tuesday night in the Buena Vista neighborhood of Southeast Washington, according to D.C. police.

The suspect drove a gray truck and was armed with a gun, which he fired during at least two of the incidents.
The suspect has mostly taken cellphones, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The neighborhoods where the robberies occurred include Mar Vista, West Adams, Picfair Village, Westchester, Mid-Wilshire, Carthay Circle, Beverly Grove, Fairfax, Crestview, Faircrest Heights, and Palms, police said.

Stage Right Theatre Company will stage “The Rocky Horror Show Live” under a big top tent on Oct. 23-24 and 30-31.
There will be a few pandemic-driven changes to the company’s long-running Halloween season production, including the outdoor venue, said director and Stage Right founder Tony Marino.
“What won’t change is the blast people are going to have,” he said.
The 40-by-80-foot “glorious, giant circus tent” sheltering the production will be set up in Stage Right’s parking lot at 105 W. Fourth St., Greensburg.“It was really important to us that if we were going to do this (that) we did it safely,” Marino said. “So the tent is huge and will have sides rolled up to provide airflow, (and) we are only selling 200 tickets per show.”And where there’s a circus tent, there should be a circus atmosphere, he said.Members of the show’s ensemble will be costumed as iconic sideshow and circus freak characters.“That seems to fit 2020 more than anything,” Marino said. “More than being a Halloween staple, that seems to fit the intersection of where we are now.”
National media outlets are eyeing Westmoreland County as a key battleground in the looming presidential election.
Both CNN and the New York Times this week spotlighted the county in reports, talking to residents and politicians about their efforts to swing the race in favor of either President Donald Trump or his Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
CNN — which called Westmoreland “pivotal” for Trump — spoke with Leslie Rossi, owner of the famous red, white and blue Trump House in Unity, which features a large cutout of the president outside.
“Four years ago, my work was really hard here,” Rossi told CNN. “I had to convince them President Trump was the best choice for them. This time, I don’t have to do any of that. They’re all in.”
