The impacted products were distributed in Arizona, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota and Virginia, and were harvested and packed nearly four weeks ago, so they should no longer be on store shelves.

George Soros-linked election software company lies about ties with Dominion | One America News Network

A manufacturer of electronic voting systems tied to billionaire George Soros has reportedly been caught lying about its connection to Dominion Voting Systems.

According to a Sunday report, foreign-owned Smartmatic licensed voting technology from the controversial company. Smartmatic once owned Sequoia Voting Systems, but divested from its U.S. holdings following a 2007 court ruling with Dominion purchasing the company in 2010.

While Smartmatic has denied any continued ties, a recently resurfaced 2015 interview with chairman Mark Malloch Brown shows this was far from the truth. Smartmatic continued to license Dominion technology. Brown has sat on the boards of several Soros’ organizations.

“The fact is, yes, a part of our technology is licensed from Dominion, but you tell me a large technology company which isn’t using in part licenses from other companies,”stated the chairman. “And we have a license for the international use of that particular piece of the technology that we employ.”

It’s unclear whether Smartmatic maintains any financial interests in Sequoia’s U.S. holdings.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Local charitable organizations across the Pittsburgh area will be providing Thanksgiving meals to thousands of residents in the next week while balancing the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Beginning on Monday, Light of Life Rescue Mission will package over 1,800 Thanksgiving dinner boxes for families in need on the North Side.

After that, on Thanksgiving Day, Light of Life will provide 1,000 meals to those in need along with handing out winter hats, gloves, scarves, and hygiene kits.

Light of Life Director of Development Doug Smith ensures all events can take place safely during their busiest week of the year.

“Obviously, we’ve had to make a lot of changes all throughout the year,” Smith said. “We were prepared very early.”

Light of Life Rescue Mission has remained open throughout the pandemic. Their Thanksgiving outreach typically packs their Northside building.

Smith says that won’t be the case this year, but they still plan to serve as many people as needed.

Meals will either be delivered, served to-go, or inside a heated tent outside the building. Everyone, including volunteers, must have masks on and keep their distance.

Dominion Voting Systems Spokesman: “Not Physically Possible” To Change Votes On Our Machines | Video | RealClearPolitics

A spokesperson for Dominion Voting Systems denied President Trump’s claims about the company on Fox News on Sunday afternoon, claiming it is “not physically possible” to change votes on the machines they provide.

“This is a nonpartisan American company. It is not physically possible for our machines to switch votes from one candidate to the other,” Dominion spokesman Michael Steel told Fox News on Sunday.

“Let’s be very clear, our election system is run by local elected officials and nonpartisan poll watchers. We simply provide a tool to count the ballots and to print and count ballots,” he said. “There is no way such a massive fraud could have taken place and there are no connections between our company and Venezuela, Germany, Barcelona, Kathmandu, whatever the latest conspiracy theory is.”

NYC subway riders outraged by lack of social distancing in train cars

It’s mass transit, all right.

New York City subway riders were fuming Saturday over the utter lack of social distancing on a very packed train, video shows.

Dozens of straphangers were already squeezed “like sardines” inside an N train when it pulled into the Lexington 59th street station around 5:00 p.m., according to the footage.

Some riders jammed into the car — but one outraged woman asked “What the f–k distance is this? They’re squeezing like sardines.”

“It’s because MTA don’t give a f–k about the people,” said a man standing outside the overflowing train doors.

“The MTA is running as much service as we can with the crews we have available,” MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan said in a statement.

L.A. County suspends outdoor dining at restaurants as coronavirus surges – Los Angeles Times

In a devastating blow to Los Angeles’ struggling restaurant industry, L.A. County public health officials on Sunday announced they will suspend outdoor dining at restaurants amid a surge of new coronavirus cases.

Few segments of the L.A. retail economy have been hit harder by the pandemic than the once-booming dining world, with many landmark names closing in recent months and many more on the brink. After they were forced to close indoor dining rooms in the spring, many eateries got a lifeline when officials allowed them to serve outdoors, often in patios and makeshift dining halls built in parking lots and streets.

The new rule takes effect at 10 p.m. Wednesday and restricts restaurants — along with breweries, wineries and bars — to takeout and delivery only for the first time since May. It will remain in place for at least three weeks, officials said.

Wineries and breweries can continue retail operations.

“The persistent high number of cases requires additional safety measures that limit mixing in settings where people are not wearing masks,” Barbara Ferrer, the L.A. County health director, said in a statement.

Officials had warned earlier in the week that the new rule would be imposed if the five-day average of new cases reached 4,000, or if hospitalizations topped 1,750 per day.

Hundreds show up for dueling BLM, Trump rallies in Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Pa. — Hundreds of people turned out for dueling rallies for Black Lives Matter and in support of President Donald Trump.

Channel 11′s crew at the scene said things were mostly peaceful at the Greensburg events until a shouting match broke out between the two groups.

The rally for Trump was meant to be a “patriotic celebration” and show support for the president’s claims of voter fraud, according to organizers. Organizers of the Black Lives Matter event have been holding regular rallies at the Westmoreland County courthouse for several months.

President Trump’s team requests recount of Georgia presidential vote

President Donald Trump’s legal team said Saturday that his campaign has requested a recount of votes in the Georgia presidential race after results showed Democrat Joe Biden winning the state.

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Friday certified the state’s election results, which had Biden beating Trump by 12,670 votes out of about 5 million cast, or 0.25%. Republican Gov. Brian Kemp then certified the state’s slate of 16 presidential electors.

The statement from Trump’s legal team said: “Today, the Trump campaign filed a petition for recount in Georgia. We are focused on ensuring that every aspect of Georgia State Law and the U.S. Constitution are followed so that every legal vote is counted. President Trump and his campaign continue to insist on an honest recount in Georgia, which has to include signature matching and other vital safeguards.”On Friday, in certifying the results, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp also brought up concerns about signatures. But Raffensperger has reiterated confidence in the results, and in a Saturday opinion piece in the Washington Post he said: “Georgia’s voting system has never been more secure or trustworthy.”And in fact, the signatures on absentee ballot applications and envelopes are required to be checked when they are received.

James Hong to Be Inducted Into Asian Hall of Fame

LOS ANGELES — You know his face from…everything. Chinatown. Bladerunner. Big Trouble in Little China. Even Seinfeld. After more than 600 credits – the most of any actor in history – James Hong seems most comfortable when he’s slipping into a character.

“Would you like to hear a few impersonations,” he asked, before launching into some of his favorite from back in the day.

What You Need To Know

    • James Hong has more credits than any other actor in history
    • The 91-year-old has appeared in hundreds of TV shows and movies
    • His credits include Blade Runner, Big Trouble in Little China, Chinatown, and Seinfeld
  • A campaign is underway to get him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

“You dirty, dirty rat,” he says as James Cagney, before switching to Jimmy Stewart, Peter Lorre, even Elmer Fudd. He once did an impersonation of Groucho Marx on The Groucho Marx Show – and was a hit.“The emcee told me I got the second biggest fan mail ever on Groucho Marx Show,” he said.Clearly Hong is a born entertainer, with a resume that’s more than six decades long, although he wasn’t always satisfied with the parts he was getting.

After a few years of working in film and television, he met with fellow actor Mako Iwamatsu and the two started talking about their careers.“We were saying, well, ‘what we can we do, you know?’” he recalled. “We’re not getting any roles that are non-cliché and we’re not being accepted. We were only getting the so-called gimmick roles.”  They decided to break from those stereotypical offerings and do a play. In 1965, they founded East West Players, which today is considered the nation’s premiere Asian American theater company.

Gov. Wolf to veto bills on carrying, selling guns amid disasters | WTRF

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Gov. Tom Wolf’s office says he will veto legislation heading that would repeal long-standing laws intended to control the carrying of guns and prevent officials from shutting down firearms sales during disaster emergencies declared by a governor.

The bills are the latest to pass the Republican Legislature that sought to limit the Democratic governor’s powers during the existing coronavirus disaster emergency and beyond.

Wolf’s office says declarations help the administration fight the public health crises and don’t affect rights.

One bill would repeal a provision that allows the governor to suspend sales during an emergency.

The other would prevent firearms businesses from being shuttered.

Some Catholics sounding alarm about Biden administration, conflicts with moral teachings | Fox News

Some Catholic groups and leaders are warning that President-elect Biden would, despite being a member of the faith, enact harmful policies and create confusion about church teachings.

Just after the election, Archbishop Jose Gomez issued a statement congratulating Biden, saying “he joins the late President John F. Kennedy as the second United States president to profess the Catholic faith.”

However, Gomez, who serves as president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), later announced a working group in preparation for Biden’s presidency, and issued a statement about the “problems” created by a Catholic president who supports certain progressive policies.

“The president-elect has given us reason to believe that his faith commitments will move him to support some good policies. This includes policies of immigration reform, refugees and the poor, and against racism, the death penalty, and climate change,” he said at the USCCB Fall Assembly on Nov. 17.

Georgia’s Floyd County fires election director after finding uncounted ballots

The Board of Elections in Georgia’s Floyd County voted Thursday to oust Chief of Elections Clerk Robert Brady after officials found thousands of uncounted ballots.

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger blamed the problem on Floyd County election officials failing to upload votes from a memory card in a ballot-scanning machine.

GEORGIA ELECTION AUDIT FINDS 3,039 MORE UNCOUNTED BALLOTS IN 2 COUNTIES

Raffensperger had initially asked for Brady to step down and Floyd County officials met to discuss the decision before firing him, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

They cited at least two previous incidents over the past six months as the reasons for his termination.

During a hand audit in the Peach State, election officials uncovered more than 2,600 ballots that were not counted before the county’s initial certification, forcing election workers to rescan more than 8,000 ballots.

Investigation finds more than a half-million Pennsylvanians denied unemployment

NORTH VERSAILLES, Pa. — Channel 4 Action News Investigates has learned more than a half-million Pennsylvanians who applied for unemployment during the pandemic have still not been able to get it.For some, long waits for benefits have become long waits to appeal the denial of benefit

John Roman of North Versailles was laid off from his job as a school bus driver in March.Action News Investigates first told his story in April, when he was struggling to get benefits.”You can’t get through. Keep getting busy signals. I tried like four or five hours in one day,” Roman said at the time.

Eventually, the checks started coming. But in June, his case took a twist. The state Department of Labor and Industry sent him a letter saying he was ineligible for benefits and ordering him to pay back $3,000.The reason? The state said Roman took a leave of absence. But medical records show he was hospitalized for acute illness — pneumonia and COPD.So Roman filed an appeal, saying the state decision was incorrect. That was five months ago.

Asked what happened since then, Roman said: “Nothing. Nothing at all.”He’s called the state unemployment office repeatedly. He contacted his state legislator.”Mine’s at the bottom of the pile, I guess,” Roman said.In August, he finally got a callback from the state unemployment office.

An official left a voicemail message saying: “We have received the appeal information however it was not under review so that was a mistake on our part. You should receive information from us soon as again I have escalated this matter to a supervisor.”But Roman did not get a hearing until Monday, nearly three months after he received that voicemail message.”It’s wrong,” Roman said.In yet another twist, Roman was approved for unemployment after first being denied. But the state has been deducting the money he allegedly owes from the amount he is supposed to be collecting, leaving him with virtually nothing.”I could never understand their system,” Roman said.

Top state unemployment officials would not discuss specifics of Roman’s case but they were surprised when Action News Investigates told them how long he’s been waiting for his appeal.

“I do know the appeals office is still on time with everything so depending on the timing of when that was requested and what the actual circumstances are, that probably has a lot to do with it,” said Susan Dickinson, director of unemployment policy.

“John is emblematic of so many people who are so frustrated with the system and don’t know where to turn for help,” said Barney Oursler of the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee.

Oursler reached out to help Roman after seeing his initial story. He said the state made a mistake and Roman deserves to be paid. But even Oursler, who helped thousands of unemployed steelworkers in the 1980s, has hit a wall with Harrisburg.

“The system is failing people and that’s the frustration people have,” Oursler said.State officials said 32% of all Pennsylvanians filing unemployment claims during the pandemic — about 600,000 people — have been rejected.

There have been about 43,000 appeals filed.Five months after filing his appeal, Roman said he hopes he can finally get an answer.”It’s been very frustrating. There’s times I just lay down and close my eyes, is it a dream or is it reality? I’m finding out it’s reality,” Roman said.

Judges toss Republican lawsuits in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia – CNNPolitics

(CNN)State judges in Arizona and Pennsylvania and a federal judge in Georgia rejected election-related lawsuits Thursday from Republicans and the Trump campaign.

The hat trick of losses were the latest round of defeats for the Trump campaign in its long-shot and increasingly far-fetched bid to block President-elect Joe Biden’s win before the Electoral College certifies him as the next president.
One of the judges, a Trump appointee in Georgia, called the attempt by Republican-allied lawyers to block election results “quite striking,” refusing their attempt to stop Biden’s win there.
In Arizona, a state judge declined to audit votes in the state and delay the finalization of results, saying the lawsuit couldn’t be retooled and brought again. And in Pennsylvania, a state judge ordered the counting of more than absentee 2,000 ballots the Trump campaign wanted to exclude.
The rulings came with only a few hours between them on Thursday.
Losses for the Trump campaign have piled up on other recent days, including when nine cases from the Trump campaign or his allies were either denied or pulled last Friday, and when Trump-supporting voters dropped four lawsuits pushing fraud claims earlier this week.
Despite pledges by Trump campaign attorneys — including Rudy Giuliani — to continue the fight, nearly no viable post-election cases remain for the Trump campaign that could deprive Biden of the electoral votes to become president. Legal analysts have widely said Trump’s bids in court to change the election results will all fail.
One federal lawsuit now spearheaded by Giuliani lingers in Pennsylvania, but the judge who is considering it expressed skepticism on Tuesday that the commonwealth’s presidential vote should be discarded.

Sen. Rand Paul to Newsmax TV: Fauci Will ‘Keep Us Masked Until End of Time’

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., says the U.S. government should push hard to get a coronavirus vaccine released and Dr. Anthony Fauci is trying to slow down that process, saying the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases wants to ”keep us masked until the end of time.”

”The masks aren’t working, social distancing’s not working. What is my proof? The numbers. The numbers are going through the roof,” Paul said Thursday during an appearance on Newsmax TV‘s ”American Agenda.”

”So all these mask mandates have had no effect on it. The incidence of the virus has gotten worse since we’ve done lockdowns. We should not comfort ourselves with masks. We should push hard to get the vaccine released.

“I think it’s ready to go for those who are willing to sign an informed consent and voluntarily take it. And I think millions of people would sign up, and we would very quickly get to a large enough number that people would be more satisfied with the safety. . . . I would get it out there, I wouldn’t wait.

A sign of America’s future under Biden? This transition team member has questioned the First Amendment | Fox News

The leader of President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team for federal media outlets has, in the past, publicly endorsed both weakening the First Amendment and governments’ use of propaganda on their own citizens.

Richard Stengel, a former State Department official under President Obama and a past editor of Time magazine, argued in a Washington Post op-ed last October that “America needs a hate speech law.” But he also raised questions about why the First Amendment protects things like book burnings and fake news.

“As a government official traveling around the world championing the virtues of free speech, I came to see how our First Amendment standard is an outlier,” he wrote. “Even the most sophisticated Arab diplomats that I dealt with did not understand why the First Amendment allows someone to burn a Koran.”
