‘Wheel of Fortune’ host Pat Sajak jokingly calls out ‘ungrateful’ contestant: ‘I finally snapped!’ | Fox News

Pat Sajak nearly lost his cool on a “Wheel of Fortune’ contestant on Wednesday, leading him to apologize.

The banter began when contestant Darin solved a puzzle for things that begin with the word “kitchen.”

“Cabinet, oven, towels, sink,” Darin correctly answered. However, the contestant pointed out it didn’t necessarily make sense.

“Kitchen oven? What was that?” Darin said.

“Yeah, where else would you keep an oven?” Sajak quipped.

“For sure in the kitchen, but who calls it a ‘kitchen oven?'” Darin furthered.

“You won! Don’t argue, Darin! You got the puzzle! Ungrateful players, I’ve had it!” Sajak responded.

Survey shows one in three Pennsylvania families say Thanksgiving dinner will be take-out this year

Health experts are advising people to have smaller gatherings, which means less turkey being served.

With the demand for smaller turkeys expected to rise, more Pennsylvanians plan to ditch the pots and pans.

“This is a family tradition, something DeNunzio’s restaurants have done for many years,” said Anthony DeNunzio II.

The take-out meal is a Thanksgiving tradition for the Westmoreland County Italian staple.

“This is something our entire family is part of, in fact our owner Ron has been taking food from our kitchen and straight out to our customers’ vehicles and he has done this with his sons and every member of our family contributes to the cause on Thanksgiving,” DeNunzio said.

Since 1977, it’s meant preparing a traditional Thanksgiving menu for pick-up.

“Whether it’s someone who is a large family eating at home or someone just eating at home with a small group, we have the ability to provide that as well. Even individual meals too,” DeNunzio said.

DeNunzio’s is adjusting to the pandemic, as they have done all year, and they are anticipating smaller-sized orders.

“We are very thankful that we are still able to be open and provide for our customers, provide for our families, and provide for our friends,” DeNunzio said.

Many other Pittsburgh area restaurants are joining the Thanksgiving take-out train, including STATION in Bloomfield, Bob’s Diner in Carnegie and Bistro 19 in Mount Lebanon. They all say you should place your Thanksgiving order as soon as you can.

Conan O’Brien ending late-night show after 28 years

Conan O’Brien is no longer a night owl.

The comedian is ending his run as a late-night talk show host after nearly three decades.

O’Brien, 57, announced Tuesday that he’ll finish his TBS series “Conan” at the completion of its 10th season in June 2021. However, he has signed on for a new, weekly variety series on HBO Max. No specific details were released about the upcoming show.

“In 1993, Johnny Carson gave me the best advice of my career: ‘As soon as possible, get to a streaming platform,’ ” the flop-topped redhead joked in a statement released by WarnerMedia. “I’m thrilled that I get to continue doing whatever the hell it is I do on HBO Max, and I look forward to a free subscription.”

“Conan” premiered on TBS in November 2010. He had hosted his namesake NYC-based “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” from 1993 to 2009, when he relocated to Los Angeles to take over hosting NBC’s “The Tonight Show” from Jay Leno. But he lasted for less than a year on the job and handed the reins back to Leno in 2010 following an acrimonious departure from the network.

He has signed on for a new, weekly variety series on HBO Max.

Vince Vaughn’s Freaky Tops The Box Office With A Relatively Solid Debut – CINEMABLEND

With the country still struggling to contain the pandemic, Hollywood has mostly set its release schedule for the rest of 2020, and that’s come paired with a certain understanding of what theatrical releases are capable of at the box office. Being the first blockbuster out since March, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet created a high water mark in early September, making $20.2 million over an extended holiday weekend, but most big screen features since then have managed to top the charts by pulling in between $3.5-4 million. It was that amount of money that allowed Tim Hill’s The War With Grandpa to steal Tenet‘s crown, and then Mark Williams’ Honest Thief arrived a couple weeks later with that same total. November kicked off with Thomas Bezucha’s Let Him Go, which hit the high end of that range, and now we have the arrival of Christopher Landon’s Freaky… and you can probably guess how much it made.

Sean Connery: James Bond actor dies aged 90

He was the first to bring the role to the big screen and appeared in seven of the spy thrillers.

Daniel Craig paid tribute to Sean Connery, calling his fellow 007, “one of the true greats of cinema.” Connery died overnight in his sleep. He was 90.

In a decades-long career, Connery won an Oscar for “The Untouchables” and appeared in such hits as “The Rock,” “The Man Who Would Be King,” “Time Bandits” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” He was best known, however, as the man who introduced James Bond to moviegoers with 1962’s “Dr. No.” Connery would go on to play the suave super-spy in six more films, including “Goldfinger,” “Thunderball” and “From Russia With Love.” As Bond, a ladies man with a license to kill, Connery was witty and sophisticated, with an ever-present hint of danger.

Craig became the most recent Bond in 2006’s “Casino Royale.” He’s played the role a total of five times, with the upcoming “No Time to Die” as his final outing. In recent times, Craig is generally considered to be the best Bond…with the exception of Connery’s original.

“It is with such sadness that I heard of the passing of one of the true greats of cinema,” Craig said in a statement. “Sir Sean Connery will be remembered as Bond and so much more. He defined an era and a style. The wit and charm he portrayed on screen could be measured in mega watts; he helped create the modern blockbuster. He will continue to influence actors and film-makers alike for years to come. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Wherever he is, I hope there is a golf course.”

Both Depp and Heard gave evidence before Judge Andrew Nicol during a three-week hearing at London’s High Court, laying bare their tempestuous private lives and making allegations of serious domestic abuse, drug-taking and affairs.

Stage Right plans outdoor, circus sideshow-inspired ‘Rocky Horror Show Live’ | TribLIVE.com

Get ready to do the time warp again.

Stage Right Theatre Company will stage “The Rocky Horror Show Live” under a big top tent on Oct. 23-24 and 30-31.

There will be a few pandemic-driven changes to the company’s long-running Halloween season production, including the outdoor venue, said director and Stage Right founder Tony Marino.

“What won’t change is the blast people are going to have,” he said.

The 40-by-80-foot “glorious, giant circus tent” sheltering the production will be set up in Stage Right’s parking lot at 105 W. Fourth St., Greensburg.“It was really important to us that if we were going to do this (that) we did it safely,” Marino said. “So the tent is huge and will have sides rolled up to provide airflow, (and) we are only selling 200 tickets per show.”And where there’s a circus tent, there should be a circus atmosphere, he said.Members of the show’s ensemble will be costumed as iconic sideshow and circus freak characters.“That seems to fit 2020 more than anything,” Marino said. “More than being a Halloween staple, that seems to fit the intersection of where we are now.”

Helen Reddy, Voice of the Feminist Anthem ‘I Am Woman,’ Dies at 78

“I Am Woman” became the unofficial anthem of the Women’s Liberation Movement, and Reddy said in a 2013 interview that she was just trying to represent the women in her life with the empowering song. “There were a lot of songs on the radio about being weak and being dainty and all those sort of things,” she told the Chicago Tribune. “All the women in my family, they were strong women. They worked. They lived through the Depression and a world war, and they were just strong women. I certainly didn’t see myself as being dainty.”

A biopic about Reddy titled after her signature hit debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall, and I Am Woman star Tilda Cobham-Hervey spoke with Billboard at the time about the song’s staying power. “As much as this song is so relevant today, I think it will always be relevant to women,” the actress said. “It’s a really empowering song. It talks about the future and it’s really about bringing people together. I hope it’s a song that’s really inclusive of all people, of all gender identities. I also think that as much as there’s still a long way to go, it’s amazing to look back and see how far we’ve come too. She had to live through a lot of things that I know today I don’t have this struggle with.

Jamie Lee Curtis took to Twitter to remember introducing Reddy at the Women’s March back in January 2017, calling the moment “the honor of my life.

Javicia Leslie Says It Feels ‘Powerful’ to Be the First Black Batwoman

The actress was joined by her new castmates Saturday to tease season 2 and playing a bisexual superhero.

New Batwoman Javicia Leslie knew immediately she had to play Ryan Wilder, the new character who takes over the mantle from Ruby Rose‘s Kate Kane as Gotham’s protector in the show’s upcoming second season.

“When I read the character description, it was definitely me. I love the idea that it’s goofy meets bada** meets a person who doesn’t like to be told what to do. A person who does not like to follow the rules. I loved the fact that Ryan was just who I am, just a hot mess!” Leslie joked during Saturday’s Batwoman panel at DC FanDome.

The timing of Leslie’s casting in July couldn’t have come at a better time. The God Friended Me alum shared during the panel that, in an interview just weeks prior, she mentioned that one of her biggest career goals was “to become a superhero.” (Leslie is the first Black actress to play Batwoman in a live-action TV series or film.)
