A teen boy has died from a shooting at a McKees Rocks park Saturday afternoon.
Allegheny County 911 confirmed that police and medics were sent to the area of Broadway Avenue between Second and Third streets.
“We are currently dealing with another shooting in the area of Third Street Park,” McKees Rocks police wrote on Facebook.Lt. Venerando Costa with Allegheny County police said two teenagers were at the playground when someone outside the playground shot at them. One of the teens was hit multiple times in his upper body.
He later died at the hospital. His name has not yet been released.
A Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 photojournalist on scene saw evidence markers and police tape near the park playground.
McKees Rocks police are asking anyone with information to stay in the area or call 911. County police can also be reached through their anonymous tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
