The victim was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the hospital, Allegheny County police said.

The shooting happened around 5:40 p.m. in the area of 3rd and Boquet streets. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 saw markers indicating shell casings on the ground.

The victim was found in critical condition and was pronounced dead at the hospital, county police Lt. Venerando Costa said.

On Tuesday morning, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Ronald Fuller, 19, of McKees Rocks.

Someone approached and shot at Fuller, who returned fire but was struck by the gunfire, according to a statement from county police.

A neighbor’s dog was caught in the crossfire and died at a veterinarian’s office, Costa said.

The suspect fled the scene. No description of that person was available.
