Man killed in shooting at Station Square

Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at Station Square late Friday night.

Officers had the area outside the Hard Rock Cafe taped off.

Pittsburgh’s public safety office said officers found a man who had been shot in the pelvis just before midnight. Officers applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, but the man quickly got worse. He was taken to UPMC Mercy, where he later died.

The Allegheny County medical examiner identified the victim as 25-year-old David Anthony Utley-Ralph, of Mount Morris.

Officials said police are searching for a smaller U-Haul box truck that fled the scene. There were no descriptions of a suspect or suspects.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 is working to learn more about this fatal shooting.
