PPS spokesperson Ebony Pugh said the lockdown would be in place for the rest of the week. It affects West Liberty PreK-5, South Brook 6-8, and Pittsburgh Pioneer Education Center. All three schools are on the same campus in the city’s Brookline neighborhood.

Pugh said a modified lockdown means no one is allowed to enter or leave the schools without an appointment. She said city and school police would be present as students arrive and are dismissed on Thursday.
