According to a company spokesperson, five empty steel cars derailed.
A 911 dispatcher said police, fire and EMS were called to the city’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood, on Brunot Island off Ohio River Boulevard. Traffic is impacted in the city’s Esplen and Elliott neighborhoods, along West Carson Street.
