Officers were called to the scene on Jenny Lind Street in McKeesport early Friday evening.
Allegheny County police Lt. Venerando Costa said the man was found inside a home. Costa said the man’s father and one other person were at the home as well. The man was middle-aged.
Costa said medics did attempt life-saving measures, but the victim died on scene.
“I’ve known him all my life. Wonderful guy,” neighbor, Mae Hudson said. “I’m concerned every day, even if this wasn’t out here today, they’re out here, period. I’m concerned, period. As far as I’m concerned, everybody’s suspect.”
Costa said there was no present danger to the public. He couldn’t comment on any possible suspects.
The victim has not been identified.
