An apparent double homicide is under investigation in Swissvale, Allegheny County.
“Officers assisted medics in opening the door. When they went inside the apartment, they found an adult female deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Further searching the apartment, they found a female child, also deceased from an apparent gunshot wound,” Lt. Venerando Costa said.
According to Allegheny County police, through the investigation, detectives learned that 35-year-old Kareef Antonio George Easington lived with the victims. While they say Easington was not present at the scene, police would like to speak with him concerning the homicides. Police do not consider him a suspect at this time.

The victims have been identified by Allegheny County’s medical examiner as Megan J. Campbell, 39, and Lyla Campbell, 7, both of Swissvale.
