Nicklas Gay, 35, is facing several charges
He was wanted for a shooting that happened at South 14th Street and East Carson Street back on Oct. 16 that left a man in critical condition.
On Sunday, police were called to Superior Avenue in Marshall-Shadeland, where they said they found Gay shot.
Police said they later determined Gay had accidentally shot himself.
He is now in police custody, facing several charges connected to the South Side shooting, including attempted homicide.
