Derek Moore, 33, of Pittsburgh, is facing several charges
While on scene of an incident, police encountered a man who entered a North Braddock patrol car and forcibly removed the officer from the car.
According to a criminal complaint, two officers discharged their firearm at the patrol car and, at one point, one officer was yelling, “He’s in the car, he’s in the car.”
Police identified Derek Moore, 33, of Pittsburgh, as the suspect, and said that while taking him into custody, he began fighting with an officer and trying to take his firearm.
That officer was taken to the hospital with injuries including a possible broken nose.
