Morning Roundup: Pa. Game Commission brings back black bear livestreams

Pennsylvania Game Commission announces wildlife livestreams Ever wonder what a bear does in the woods? Now you can know. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has reintroduced its 24-hour black bear webcam for the first time since 2021. There will be four animal watch options including a new black bear den in Pike County stream that launched earlier this week.

According to the Game Commission, Pennsylvania’s black bears usually are born in January and begin walking in about eight weeks. Bald eagles typically lay eggs in mid-February and, if the eggs are viable, they’ll hatch in mid- to late March. Snow goose migration typically peaks at Middle Creek from mid-February to March.

Viewers will also be able to access Farm County eagle livestream that provides a bird’s-eye view into a longstanding nest, a Hanover eagle livestream and a snow goose stream based in Middle Creek.

Access to the webcams can be found on the Game Commission’s website.
