At approximately 12:20 a.m., police in Zone 5 responded to the 100 block of North Negley Avenue for a report of a male shot.
On scene, officers found an adult male on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest and began CPR.
EMS arrived and transported the victim in critical condition.
42-year-old Angela Vaughn of East Liberty was arrested and charged with the shooting, which is believed to be domestic-related.
Vaughn is charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault.
She is in the Allegheny County Jail.
