Pittsburgh Police responded to an 11-round Shotspotter alert for the 7100 block of Hermitage Street around 1:50 p.m.
When Zone 5 officers arrived in the area, they located an unconscious male with a gunshot wound in a vehicle.
Medics pronounced 29-year-old Noah Wilkerson deceased at the scene.
The Mobile Crime Unit and detectives arrived to process the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
