Police say two people are in custody after a shooting in downtown Pittsburgh.
The suspects allegedly fired shots into a building in the 900 block of Penn Avenue. No one was injured.
A Pittsburgh Public Schools spokesperson said Pittsburgh CAPA, Allegheny, King and the classroom at the Children’s Museum were briefly placed on lockdown.This content is imported from Twitter. Police blotter report:
Just before 3:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to the 900 block of Penn Avenue downtown for reports of shots fired.
Arriving units found shell casings and damage to the entranceway to Passport Academy Charter School. There were no victims located and no reported injuries.
At this time it is not known what led to the gunfire, but police detained two males who are being questioned in relation to the incident. The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
