Pittsburgh has a new Target store, and it’s on the first floor of the old Kaufmann’s building downtown.
A soft opening of the 22,000-square-foot store at 482 Smithfield St. happened this week, and a Target spokesperson said a grand opening is planned for Sunday.
“It’s the closest place to shop since they shut the Macy’s and everything down. Definitely very convenient,” one shopper said. “I’ve already been in and bought a few things there.”
Store hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Target said drive-up and order pickup will also be available for shoppers.
“We offer a wide assortment of Target’s top owned and national brands spanning across grab-and-go food and beverage options, back-to-school items, beauty, essentials and much more, as well as a convenient CVS pharmacy location,” said a statement from store director Jeremy Petit.
