Four Pittsburgh Public Schools briefly placed on lockdown after report of shots fired

Four schools in the Pittsburgh Public School District were placed on lockdown Wednesday.

A school district spokesperson tells Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that Pittsburgh Crescent, Faison, Student Achievement Center and Westinghouse were locked down as police were in pursuit of a suspect following a report of shots fired in the area.

There were no reports of any victims or property damage.

Those lockdowns have been lifted.

All Pittsburgh Public Schools were operating on modified lockdowns Wednesday as a precaution in the aftermath of the the deadly mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas
