PITTSBURGH — Two people were injured, including a pedestrian, after a motorcycle crash in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh on Monday.
The incident occurred on Fifth Avenue and South Aiken Avenue around 6:15 p.m.
Police said a motorcycle struck a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk. The motorcycle had been traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic just before the incident, police said.
Officers activated their lights and sirens, but before they could even pursue or follow the motorcycle, the vehicle had jumped up onto the sidewalk and struck a female pedestrian.
