A man was found shot in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the 300 block of Meyran Avenue around 12:35 a.m. for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian and was pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m. The medical examiner identified him as Esam Tanzim Hossain, 23, of San Jose.
One vehicle was struck by gunfire during the incident, police said.
At last check, no description of a suspect was available.
Pittsburgh police detectives are investigating.
