BREAKING: At least one dead in shopping centre fire — emergency services scrambled

Smoke is pouring out of the “Perseus for Children” shopping centre on Semenovskaya Street.According to Russian media, the top four floors of the centre are ablaze.

At least one person is reported to have died in the fire.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations says that the man was an employee of the shopping centre.

He died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.Five firefighters were injured tackling the blaze.

Two are being treated for heatstroke and another for smoke inhalation.

A man who escaped the fire said: “I was there with family.
