Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) recertified the results of the state’s presidential election on Monday after a recount completed last week reaffirmed President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

“It’s been 34 days since the election on Nov. 3,” Raffensperger said at a news conference at the Georgia Capitol earlier in the day. “We have now counted legally cast ballots three times and the results remain unchanged.”

The recertification of the results amounted to a major blow to President Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the presidential race. Trump has repeatedly refused to acknowledge his loss to Biden and has falsely claimed that the election outcome was marred by widespread voter fraud and systemic irregularities.

A Nor’easter brought heavy rain and snow to parts of New England, left more than a foot of snow in some places and knocked out power for more than 200,000 customers in the region.

Parts of Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire all recorded more than a foot of snow in some places, according to the National Weather Service. At Cape Cod, a wind gust of more than 73 mph was recorded.

“Snow showers will linger over Northern New England through Tuesday,” the National Weather Service Weather Prediction Center said Sunday afternoon. “The snow will aid in producing hazardous driving conditions over the area.”

The center forecasted the storm to be the “first widespread significant snow event of the season.”

As many as 43,000 customers in Massachusetts were without power on Saturday evening, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. By Sunday evening, all but a few hundred had power restored.

Give him victory and Joe Biden’s going to destroy suburbs.

Under his guidance, the federal government will withhold Housing and Urban Development grants if suburbs don’t salute, deciding their future instead of local governments. Single-family zoning will likely disappear. Business districts will be built. There will be more mass transit and restrictions on uses of autos. High-density apartment buildings will be constructed. A major objective: Bring in minorities and poor people from cities even though they are already there.

The concoction flows from the Fair Housing Act of 1968 outlawing segregation and, in 2015, resulting in an Obama administration regulation, something called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing. It was a super-radical piece of social engineering requiring no evidence of discrimination in pushing ahead. Its advocates said suburbs were too expensive and that the way they were built has had racist consequences that regulatory transformation would obliterate. In a real-world demonstration in Westchester County, N.Y., the scheme was more a nightmare than a dream. President Donald Trump got rid of it. Biden wants it back.

At least two dozen subway cars across six lines were vandalized with ’80s-era graffiti over the weekend — including “Alice in Wonderland” Mad Hatter caricatures, the MTA said.

The brazen vandals targeted cars on the Q, G, M, 1, 6 and the 42nd Street Shuttle as part of 183 graffiti incidents so far this year, according to the cash-strapped agency.

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for vandalism, which takes valuable time, resources and taxpayer dollars away from the system at a time when the MTA is facing the worst financial crisis in its history,” said NYC Transit Interim President Sarah Feinberg. “Our cleaners work around the clock to remove the graffiti when it is found so we can keep our full fleet in service and avoid disruptions for customers.”
