Motorcycle medic hit by vehicle in downtown Pittsburgh

A Pittsburgh paramedic on a motorcycle was hit by another vehicle Downtown Saturday morning.

The medic was struck near the intersection of Wood Street and Third Avenue just after 10 a.m. Pittsburgh Public Safety official Cara Cruz said he suffered leg and shoulder pain.

The medic was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The driver who hit the medic stayed on scene and was cooperative with police.

Pittsburgh police are investigating.
