Three people were killed and three injured in a Saturday night shooting at a bowling alley in Rockford, Illinois, local media reported, citing police.

A person of interest was reported to be in custody, said NBC Chicago.

Rockford police tweeted bit.ly/3rFLyiS, “Active shooter investigation near Don Carter Lanes on E.State Street. Avoid the area.”

Rockford police Chief Dan O’Shea told reporters that the shooting occurred inside and outside of the building. The area was no longer considered an active shooter situation, WREX reported.

O’Shea added that teenagers were among the victims but declined to give further details, WTVO reported.

The conditions of the three people injured have not been confirmed, WREX reported. Police did not say if the victims were patrons or workers of the business, the television station reported.

Police investigating shooting at Roanoke’s Valley View Mall

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – UPDATE: One person was taken to the hospital with a non-critical gunshot wound. No arrests were made, and people are being asked to avoid the area.Roanoke PD say they responded to a report of shots fired on the upper level of the mall following a call at 6:37 p.m.

As of 8:30 p.m., Saturday, bystanders were still in the mall, awaiting evacuation. Teams of emergency crews were going through the mall to make sure there was no existing threat, systematically checking each area before escorting people to safety, added Roanoke Police Chief Sam Roman.

Early investigation points to the shooting stemming from a verbal argument involving multiple people, leading to shots being fired by one suspect.

NYPD cop shot in the back, saved by bulletproof vest | Fox News

A police officer was shot in Brooklyn Thursday night, but was saved by a bulletproof vest during the attack, cops said.

The officer was responding to a domestic dispute after 9 p.m. in Brownsville when a gunman opened fire, striking the cop in the back, police said.

The perp was on his way to his girlfriend’s house when he said he had a gun and was going to shoot up the place, sources said.

The girlfriend’s mother called the police, and the gunman fled, according to sources.

The cop was taken to Kings County Hospital. The officer’s condition is unknown.

15-Year-Old Boy Shot and Killed In Penn Hills; Allegheny County Police Investigating – CBS Pittsburgh

PENN HILLS (KDKA) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting of a 15-year-old boy outside an apartment complex in Penn Hills.

The person or persons responsible for shooting and killing the boy is still out there as of Tuesday afternoon. As of right now, there are no suspects and no motive.

The medical examiner identified the teenager as Jafar Brooks.

“At about 12:41 a.m., the Penn Hills Police were called to the 1900 block of Garden Drive,” said Allegheny County Police Department Inspector Michael Peairs.

That’s where they found a male victim lying next to a black Escalade in the parking lot of the Leechburg Garden Apartments. He died on the scene after being shot multiple times. The Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit stepped in.

“We believe it to be an approximately 15-year-old male. We believe that male drove to the scene in that vehicle from a neighboring community,” said Peairs.

KDKA spoke with neighbors who say they heard at least six gunshots.

Peairs says multiple people were involved.

“We have evidence to believe that there were several individuals that had an interaction with him at that time, so we’re working on that,” he said.

 

Police are also focused on the Escalade. It was towed to the police department this morning. Its passenger and back windows were shattered by bullets.

MONACA, Pa. (KDKA) — At least three people were shot outside Whiskey Rhythm Bar in Monaca, Pennsylvania early Saturday morning, according to Monaca Police Department.

The shooting occurred just after midnight on Saturday in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police say.

One person shot at a violent protest in Washington state

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Police in Olympia arrested one person Saturday afternoon following a shooting at a violent protest between two heavily armed groups near the Capital building.

The Thurston County sheriff’s office confirmed the arrest but didn’t immediately release details.

The Olympia Police Department said the person who was shot was taken to a hospital by other civilians. That person’s injuries are unknown.

Police said they are aware of several videos involving the shooting.

The two groups had opposing political views, and each side was heavily armed with rifles, handguns and clubs, and engaged in violent clashes, police said. Police arrested a person earlier in the day for a firearms violation.

“We’ve had sporadic confrontations between groups throughout the day,” said Sgt. Darren Wright of the Washington State Patrol.

Man shot, found lying in the road in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH —Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was found shot and lying in the street in Pittsburgh’s Beltzhoover neighborhood.

The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Gearing Avenue and Chalfont Street.

Police initially got a call about a possible hit-and-run, but paramedics who took the man to the hospital discovered he had a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police said the victim also had injuries to his face.

No arrests have been announced.

Police Investigating After 22-Year-Old Woman Shot, Killed In Stowe Township – CBS Pittsburgh

Allegheny County Police are currently conducting a homicide investigation in Stowe Township.

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) — A woman is dead after an early morning shooting in Stowe Township.

Allegheny County police are looking for whoever killed 22-year-old Madison Paige Gilroy.

According to police, around 4:30 a.m. Saturday is when the call for shots fired came in.

“I heard about six or seven shots along the fence right where my bedroom window is,” a neighbor who didn’t want to be identified told KDKA.

Police responded near the intersection of Island Avenue and Tunnel Way. When Stowe Township and McKees Rock police arrived, officials found the victim.

“It’s every weekend. If it’s not a shooting, it’s a fight, a couple of fights,” the neighbor said.

The concerned neighbor doesn’t go outside anymore. She lives near True Diamonds club.

Police said the victim was a patron inside the club before the shooting started in the parking lot and continued up Tunnel Way. Police believe two people were shooting at each other and the victim was not the target.

Stockton 15-year-old dies after shot at Burger King drive-thru, police say

A 15-year-old boy died Friday after a shooting at a drive-thru in Stockton, according to police.

Police said a mother and her 15-year-old son were in the drive-thru when the suspect walked up to their car and shot into the passenger side window several times.

The 15-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said. It is unclear if the 15-year-old’s mother was injured in the shooting.

Police currently have no motive or suspect information.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call the Stockton Police Department.

The 15-year-old’s death marked the 50th homicide in Stockton this year. At this time last year, officers investigated 32 homicides, police said.

Of the 50 homicides this year, 15 were domestic violence, six involved homeless people, nine were gang-related, seven were robbery or narcotics-related and 13 were of unknown causes, police said.

Police Chase Ends With Multi-Vehicle Crash, Officer-Involved Shooting – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Homestead.

At this time, details are still limited.

The incident started with a car chase in Homestead that ended in the city of Pittsburgh.

According to Pittsburgh Police, it started around 11:00 Saturday night when Homestead Police saw a vehicle driving erratically.

The Homestead officer chased the vehicle into Pittsburgh before a crash took place involving their vehicles and a third vehicle.

 

After that is when Police say the officer shot the alleged suspect in the upper torso in the 3300 block of East Carson Street.

Pittsburgh paramedics took the man to the hospital in stable condition.

Pittsburgh Police are investigating the shooting and will interview the Homestead Police officer and other parties involved.

Gunfire reported in downtown Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH —A bicyclist was shot by a driver following an altercation in downtown Pittsburgh on Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed.

Sky 4 video showed markers indicating shell casings on the ground near the corner of Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Seventh Street.

Officers responded to a report of a car crash at about 3:45 p.m. and learned that a shooting had occurred after some sort of dispute between the driver and a man on a bicycle, police spokesman Chris Togneri said.

The car drove onto the sidewalk, where it hit a Port Authority bus shelter, and the driver got out and shot at the bicyclist, who was struck in the leg, Togneri said.

The shooter was being questioned at police headquarters Tuesday evening. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The Port Authority tweeted that downtown bus service was being affected as police remained at the scene.

2 shot in Avalon; SWAT situation concludes | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting Thursday in Avalon that injured two men, one of them critically.

On Thursday, Avalon police responded to a report of a shooting at about 12:05 p.m. at the 500 block of Girard Avenue, according to a news release. Officers found a 23-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Police said he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

County police Lt. Venerando Costa said another person, who Lt. Costa said was responsible for the shooting, was also shot and was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Police said he is 17 years old and had an apparent grazing wound to his head; he was treated and released, police said.

Lt. Costa said a SWAT team was called to search a house in the nearby 600 block of California Avenue for a possible third person. The SWAT situation concluded at about 3:30 p.m., and Lt. Costa said early Thursday evening that there is not a third person involved in the incident.

Allegheny County homicide detectives were called to assist Avalon officers and learned both individuals were in a dispute over a handgun when the shooting occurred. Police said they have recovered the gun and that the investigation is ongoing.

Police said the county District Attorney’s Office will be consulted to determine if criminal charges will be filed against either the 23-year-old man or the 17-year-old.

A Monessen woman was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital by medical helicopter on Tuesday night for treatment of a gunshot wound, according to Monessen police.

The shooting happened at about 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Summit Avenue and Sixth Street.

The woman was in critical condition when she was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in the North Side. Her condition has been upgraded stable, officials said Wednesday morning.

The front yard of a home in the 600 block of Summit was cordoned off with police tape and a black SUV was towed from the scene, police said.

The woman was not identified and no information was available about what may have led to the shooting.

The incident is being investigated by Monessen police and Westmoreland County detectives.

One man arrested after shooting in Steubenville | WTOV

One man has been arrested after a shooting in Steubenville.

Officers ultimately responded to 508 Woodland Avenue for reports of shots fired, where man was found with a bullet in his hand.

Investigators found both rounds from a .22 caliber and a .9 mm hand gun.

William King Sr. was arrested and taken into custody overnight.

He is charged with felonious assault and is being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center.

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas rapper Mo3 was shot and killed during a daytime attack on a highway in the city, authorities said.

The 28-year-old performer, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was driving north on interstate 35 in south Dallas on Wednesday when a man in a dark colored car drove up to him, police said.

The man got out of his car with a gun in his hand and walked up to Noble’s vehicle.

Noble got out of his car and began running south on the freeway.

The gunman gave chase and began shooting, hitting Noble and a bystander who was sitting in his car, police said.

Both men were taken to a hospital and the bystander is expected to survive.

Police said they don’t know why the man attacked Noble, and they only described the suspect as Black. He remains at large.

Noble had more than 800,000 followers on his Instagram page and was best known for a 2019 remix of the song “Errybody,” with Baton Rouge, Louisiana, rapper Boosie Badazz.

Woman found shot in head inside Pittsburgh home, police say

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in East Liberty.

The deadly shooting happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 5700 block of Rippey Street. When officers got to the scene, the victim — who has not yet been identified — was found inside a house with a gunshot wound to the head.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Allegheny County Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the Saturday afternoon shooting death of a Pittsburgh man in North Braddock.

Authorities said police responding to the call of shooting shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday found Theodore B. Jones, 52, of Pittsburgh, along the 1500 block of Beech St., suffering from gunshot wounds.

Jones was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital. According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, Jones was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:59 p.m.

Man shot while driving on Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh, police say

PITTSBURGH — A man was shot while driving in Pittsburgh’s Point Breeze neighborhood on Thursday.

It happened in the 6900 block of Penn Avenue just before 5:45 p.m.

When officers got there, they said they found a man who said he was shot while driving his car. He was hit in his upper body and hand.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Two people being questioned following shooting in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood

Police said a man was shot in the abdomen and taken to the hospital.

The SWAT team was called in after police learned a man, who may have had a gun, was inside the home.

Police were able to make contact with the man and both he and the woman who came out earlier were detained for questioning.

So far, no charges have been filed.

GREENSBURG, Pa. —Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect after shots were fired in Greensburg Friday night.

Greensburg Police shared video from the incident in the area of Grove Street and Spring Avenue.

The shots were fired around 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to police.

Police said the suspect took off toward Spring Avenue and Mertz Way.

Anyone who lives in the area and has surveillance video of the incident is asked to call police.

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A man died after shots were fired as he and two other people were leaving a Halloween party early Friday morning in a neighborhood in Penn Hills, police said.

The 20-year-old, who has not been identified, was shot shortly after midnight along Curtis Street.

Multiple people were trying to help the man when police got to the scene, authorities said. They were with him when he was shot.

Two people shot in Jeannette, sources confirm

Authorities have not released details about what happened at either location. There is a heavy police presence in the area.

Two people were shot along South 3rd Street in Jeannette early Tuesday evening, sources confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4.

Sources said one of the victims was able to get to a second location on South 5th Street.

The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening and there is currently no word on any suspects, sources said.

Police were at the scene for several hours on Tuesday. Authorities have not released details about what happened at either location.

Indiana Borough Police have arrested a teenaged girl and acquired an arrest warrant for a 20-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of a Pittsburgh man who was found early Saturday in a parking lot.

Isabella Marie Edmonds, 17, was arraigned late Saturday on multiple charges of homicide, robbery and two counts of criminal conspiracy in connection with the shooting that killed Jaedyn Khadim Ma Wright, 20, of Pittsburgh, according to online court dockets. Edmonds, who will turn 18-years-old Oct. 24, is charged as an adult.

Police have also charged Isaiah A. Moore of Philadelphia with identical complaints, plus a theft charge, in connection with the shooting. Investigators are looking for Moore.

Police said they are trying to identify two other possible suspects who were in the area at the time of the shooting and were observed on security video running from the Carriage House East apartment complex.

Pittsburgh man fatally shot in Indiana, Pa.

The Indiana County Coroner’s office said a 20-year-old Pittsburgh man was fatally shot Saturday morning.

Coroner Jerry Overman identified the victim as Jaedyn Khadim Ma Wright.

Mr. Overman said Mr. Wright was shot around 4 a.m. He reported that officers found Mr. Wright in the parking lot at Carriage House Apartments at the 1300 block of Oakland Avenue in Indiana Borough with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Mr. Wright was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center where he was  pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
