Around 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, the authorities responded to a residential neighborhood in Woodlawn, Md., an unincorporated area about 12 miles west of Baltimore.
When the police arrived, they found an armed man outside of a townhouse, and the “threat was neutralized,” said Joy Stewart, a spokeswoman for the Baltimore County Police Department.
The gunman, who was not immediately identified, was later pronounced dead.
Three other victims, two men and one woman, also died. It was not immediately clear how they died. A fifth victim had injuries that were not life-threatening, the authorities said.
Multiple people have been shot and others wounded after a gunman entered a FedEx warehouse near Indianapolis International Airport.
There are reports that four people have died, although fatalities have not yet been confirmed by the authorities.
Police have confirmed that there are ‘multiple victims at the scene’ following the shooting on Thursday night, (April 15) 11pm local time (4am GMT).
911 calls claim people heard shooting outside and inside the building, with workers hiding inside by the conveyor belt.
A worker at the scene told Wish-TV news: “I saw a man with a submachine gun of some sort, an automatic rifle, and he was firing in the open.”
SALTLICK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — State police officials told Channel 11 that a man at the center of a standoff in Saltlick Township, Fayette County was shot and killed after he came out of the home and raised a firearm.
Officials swarmed the home in the area of Pine Slopes and Indian Creek Valley Road after two troopers responded to a domestic call around 10:30 a.m.
As the troopers were leaving the scene, they said a man shot at them. The troopers were not injured.
A 15-year-old boy was killed after a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood Tuesday night, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
Don Angelo Castapheny of Pittsburgh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police from Zone 5 responded to the 1300 block of Montezuma Street around 9:10 p.m., and shortly after found Castapheny in the 1400 block of Olivant Street, a few blocks away.
Police said they do not have a description of a suspect.
The city’s Mobile Crime and Violent Crime units were processing the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
A male teenager was killed and a police officer wounded Monday afternoon in a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School in Knoxville, police and sources say.
The Knoxville Police Department confirmed the fatality in an emailed statement, and the shooting without details on its Twitter account. A medical examiner’s vehicle left the school about 5 p.m.
The source said the wounded police officer is the Austin-East school resource officer. He was shot in the hip and is undergoing surgery, the source told Knox News.
The source also said one person has been detained.

When first responders arrived at the scene, in the Harrison Village housing complex, they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot in the chest.
He was taken to an area hospital.

Calls to 911 and a ShotSpotter alert notified police to multiple gunshots fired about 9 p.m. near the intersection of Frankstown and North Braddock avenues.
Michael Lyons, 30, of Pittsburgh, was found shot to death, officials said.
(CNN)Two people are dead and at least eight have been injured after multiple shootings near the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, Virginia, police said Saturday.Police discovered at least eight shooting victims at “the original crime scene” near 20th Street and Atlantic Avenue when they arrived shortly after 11 p.m. Friday night, Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate told a press briefing.While police were investigating the first crime scene, shots were fired about a block away near 20th Street and Pacific Avenue, resulting in “an individual being confronted by a uniform Virginia Beach police officer,” Neudigate said. The officer shot and killed the person in what the chief described as a “police intervention shooting.”
A second person was killed in a separate nearby shooting incident, Neudigate said. He said police were still trying to determine what happened but did not believe it was related to the first two shootings.
In addition to the shootings, a Virginia Beach police officer was also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.
Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said the shooting happened at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Interstate 95 South near the weigh station just north of the city limits of Lumberton.
According to Wilkins, 47-year-old Julie Eberly, of Manheim, Pennsylvania, was shot through a passenger door and later died at UNC Southeastern Hospital. Her husband was not injured in the shooting, the sheriff said.
“Prayers are needed for the victims involved,” Wilkins said.
Multiple people were killed Monday when a gunman opened fire at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado. One person has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting, and officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Many of the details surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police Commander Kerry Yamaguchi did not say how many people were killed in the shooting, noting that officials are still processing the crime scene, but said one of the victims is a Boulder police officer.

One man said that he first thought someone had dropped something inside the store — but by the third shot, he said, everyone started running.
A 21-year-old woman was killed and seven people injured in a shooting sparked by a fight at a Dallas nightclub early Saturday.
The fight between two groups at the Pryme Night Club started around 1:30 a.m., Dallas police said. Someone in one of the groups pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting six people, The Associated Press reported.
A local reporter on the scene said the cops ran into a “chaotic scene” and applied tourniquets to the victims before they were sent to the hospital.
The injured were taken from the nightclub to area hospital, where Daisy Navarrete, 21, was pronounced dead. The wounded ranged from stable to critical condition.
Police said the shooter, a man in his 20s, ran away from the scene. Social media posts showed blocked off streets around the club as cops searched for the shooter.
The investigation is ongoing.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A worker shot and killed two colleagues at a supermarket distribution center near Milwaukee before crashing his vehicle during a police pursuit and then killing himself, a union official and police said Wednesday.
The attack happened Tuesday night at the Roundy’s distribution center in Oconomowoc, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) west of Milwaukee, said Thomas Bennett, secretary-treasurer of General Teamsters Local Union No. 200. He said all three men were in their 40s.
Oconomowoc police said the suspect’s vehicle was spotted in Milwaukee after the attack and officers began to pursue it. The vehicle crashed and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to authorities, who didn’t release the names of any of the shooter or victims.
Union stewards said the two men were shot in different areas of the massive warehouse, according to Bennett. One was shot in the loading dock and the other was shot in an upper area of the facility.
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – One person has died after reports of shots fired near the George Floyd Memorial in Minneapolis on Saturday.
Police say they received ShotSpotter reports along with 911 calls for two people who were shot in the area of East 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, the site of the George Floyd Memorial in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood.
Initially, officers were told by callers the victim would be brought to a barricade that blocks off the memorial from traffic. However, when police arrived, they say they learned the victims had been transported to a nearby hospital. Officers say they were also met with “interference” from people at the memorial.
Police said they found out Terrion Gates was in the Altoona area and he was taken into custody Friday without incident.
Gates was wanted for shooting and killing 20-year-old Jayden Wright of Pittsburgh in the parking lot of the Carriage House Apartments on Oakland Avenue in October. Wright was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Gates was one of four suspects police were searching for in connection with the murder. He was extradited to Indiana County for arraignment.
PITTSBURGH — A man who was shot before crashing into a pole outside a gas station in Pittsburgh’s South Side early Tuesday morning died at a hospital, police said.
It was shortly after 1 a.m. when police and paramedics were called to the crash near the intersection of East Carson Street and Arlington Avenue, right by American Natural.
When officers got to the scene, an off-duty firefighter was performing CPR on the man. He was then taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died.
The man was identified as Bradford McCary, 41, of Wilkinsburg.
The Jeep McCary crashed had bullet holes in it. There was a bullet hole through the windshield, and the back driver’s side window was shot out.It’s unclear where the shooting happened.
No arrests have been made.
Ambridge police said the incident occurred in the 900 block of Maplewood Avenue around 1:30 p.m.
Inside the home, police found the children dead. They were identified as 16-year-old Jeffrey Bright and 22-year-old Jasmine Cannady.
The mother, 48-year-old Krisinda Bright, was arrested for the shooting, according to Interim Chief John Deluca. She was the one who actually called 911.
METAIRIE, La. —
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Metairie at the Jefferson Gun Outlet.
According to Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, three people are dead and two people were taken to area hospitals and are considered to be stable.Advertisement
At around 2:50 pm, Lopinto said deputies responded to the shooting at the Jefferson Gun Outlet in the 6700 block of Airline Drive.
Deputies found several victims suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Lopinto.
JPSO sources say that a man entered the gun outlet with a loaded gun unholstered.
Sources say that the man got into an argument with a clerk who told him he should not have a loaded gun until he got inside the range.
According to JPSO sources, shots were fired during the argument when at least two customers on the range engaged the man.
The man was shot, but also fired back at the two customers who were also injured, according to JPSO sources.
At this time, Lopinto said it appears a suspect shot two victims inside the location, then was engaged by the two customers and shot outside the location by multiple other individuals.
The suspect is one of the deceased on scene, according to Lopinto.
There is no additional information available at this time.
CORNELIUS, N.C. — Police in North Carolina say a 25-year-old woman was accidentally shot to death after one of her young children found a loaded gun in her purse.
Town officials say they got a call late Monday about a shooting at the apartment. Inside, they found the body of 25-year-old Gabriel Henderson.
The woman’s five children were also in the apartment at the time. The youngest was shot and rushed to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
Police are investigating a shooting on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
Police temporarily closed East Ohio Street near Middle Street as a precaution after, sources tell KDKA, a gunfight outside of North Shore Teez. Sources told KDKA that a witness saw a teenager standing in the doorway of the business, and someone starting shooting at the teen, who fired back before running out a backdoor of the business.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene, they discovered buildings and a vehicle in the area were hit by gunfire, police say.
Police say they were later alerted to a gunshot victim on the 1500 block of Monterey Street. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds to the leg.
BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) — Multiple people were shot at a Minnesota health clinic on Tuesday and someone was taken into custody afterward, police said.
The shooting happened at an Allina clinic in Buffalo, a city of about 15,000 people roughly 40 miles (64 kilometers) northwest of Minneapolis, Kelly Prestidge, an office manager for the Buffalo Police Department, told The Associated Press.
Prestidge said one person was taken into custody, but that she didn’t know if it was the shooter. She also said she didn’t have further information on the attack, including how many people were shot or if anyone was killed.
One person was shot and killed in Lawrenceville.
Police say the shooting happened Monday night. The victim was found inside a vehicle that hit a utility pole on the 4400 block of Davison Street around 9 p.m.
The woman was shot in the head, law enforcement says. Officials are investigating.
Police have not said what may have led up to the shooting or if anyone was arrested.

TOLEDO, Ohio — An Ohio man charged with shooting and killing two of his girlfriend’s young children and critically wounding a third was being held Monday on $5 million bond.
Kevin Moore, 27, appeared in a Toledo court on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault. Court records do not list an attorney for him. A judge said Monday that he’ll be appointed a lawyer before his next hearing on Friday.
Moore is accused of shooting the three boys Friday at a Toledo apartment complex where his girlfriend lives.
The children who died from multiple gunshots were 1-year-old Gabriel Phillips and 5-year-old Ahmir Phillips, according to a coroner. A 4-year-old boy was also shot at least once and was in critical condition, family members told The Blade.

A 17-year-old girl, the sister of the victim, suffered a nonfatal gunshot to her leg during the argument in Reading, the Reading Eagle reported.
The shooter, who was under supervision of juvenile probation for previous violent crimes, was arrested and is being charged as an adult with homicide and related offenses, Police Chief Richard Tornielli said.
His name wasn’t released since he had not yet been formally arraigned as of Saturday.
Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams said the alleged shooter will turn 15 next week.
