Beware, dog owners: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently announced that it expanded a previously announced dog food recall over concerns the products contain a mold byproduct that is potentially above acceptable levels.

Various Sunshine Mills’ dog food brands have been affected, including Champ, Field Trial, Good Dog, Hunter’s Special, Old Glory, Paws Happy Life, Pet Expert, Principle, Retriever, River Bend, and Sportsman’s Pride, among others. A full list can be found here.

Sunshine Mills’ expanded recall comes after the company first announced the recall in September over concerns the products contained above-limit levels of aflatoxin, which the FDA said at the time is a “naturally occurring mold byproduct from the growth of Aspergillus flavus and can be harmful to pets if consumed in significant quantities.”

Recall Issued For Popular Brand Of Lay’s Potato Chips | Litchfield Daily Voice

Frito-Lay announced this week that it has issued the voluntary recall of Lay’s Barbecue flavored potato chips that may have also been included in variety packs.

The recall is due to undeclared milk allergens.

Harbor Freight Recalls Jack Stands That Could Suddenly Collapse – The Drive

If you’ve got a set of Harbor Freight jack stands somewhere in your garage, stop using them immediately because many of them have just been recalled over pawls that could “disengage from the extension lifting post” under a shift in weight, causing them to suddenly collapse. We feel like this shouldn’t have to be said but we’ll say it anyway: bad jack stands that could suddenly fall are extremely dangerous and being underneath a car supported by one could very easily result in serious injury or death.

According to Harbor Freight, the recall applies to three-ton and six-ton heavy-duty steel jack stands with item numbers 56371, 61196, and 61197. The number on the three-ton units can be found on the label at the top while the six-ton stands have their numbers printed in the yellow section of the label found on the base.

Tyson recall chicken: Nearly 12 million pounds of chicken strips recalled over possible metal contamination – CBS News

Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling about 11.8 million pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken strips over fears that the products may be contaminated with metal, food safety officials said Saturday. The company is expanding upon a prior recall of more than 69,000 pounds of chicken strips in March, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said in a statement.

The recalled products were produced in one location between October 1, 2018 and March 8, 2019. They have the number “P-7221” on the back of the product package and a “use by” date of October 1, 2019 to March 7, 2020.
