NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. —
A crash closed Route 30 in North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County on Monday evening.
Traffic was blocked in both directions between Colonial Manor Road and Carpenter Lane while emergency responders remained at the scene.It’s unclear if there were any injuries in the crash.
Route 30 has since reopened.
North Huntingdon police are working to identify a man who was involved in a frightening incident at a motel in North Huntingdon on Saturday morning.
Investigators said the incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. at the Hiland Terrace Motel on Route 30.The man had been denied a room because he didn’t have the cash to pay for it. Police said he then became irate and left the office, with the clerk locking the door behind him.
The man came back and kicked in the office’s door and attempted to get into an inside door that led to the area where the motel owner lives.
The man didn’t make it past the clerk and left the office.

Police in North Huntingdon are actively engaged in a manhunt.
NORTH HUNTINGDON (KDKA) – Police in North Huntingdon are searching for a man who attempted to buy a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with a fake I.D.North Huntingdon Police say that the male was attempting to purchase a vehicle worth $100,000.
“They went to apprehend him (and) he ran out across the street into the woods,” said Sean Rattigan, general manager at the dealership.

Police called off the manhunt Monday night.

A two-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Route 30 in North Huntingdon Wednesday afternoon backed up traffic on the busy highway.
