CRAVEN COUNTY, N. C. (WCTI) – A family of five was killed last week in a murder-suicide in Vanceboro, according to the Craven County Sheriff’s Office. A man believed to be an accomplice to a homicide in North Carolina was arrested in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.
Caverce Williams, 24, was wanted for his alleged role in a fatal shooting in Burlington on Sept. 30.The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said they developed information that Williams was staying at a home in Sheraden.
Members of the sheriff’s office went to the home on Wednesday night and said while Williams initially ignored their commands to open the door he did open it a few moments later and was taken into custody without incident
Officers charged Paul Steber, a 19-year-old freshman at High Point University in North Carolina, with two felony counts of having a gun on campus and an additional count for making threats of mass violence on Tuesday after a classmate reported him, police said.
The suspect told authorities that he came to North Carolina because it was easier to gain access to guns.
Flight attendants instructed passengers to duck and brace for a landing.
The more than 150 people on board were OK.
