Two young siblings who were reported missing from Pittsburgh’s North Side have been found, police said Friday night.
The boys, ages 12 and 14, have been safely returned to their home, police said.
No other details were released.
Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray launched a $5,000 open tab for Pittsburgh police officers at Primanti Bros. on Thursday.
Murray and Primanti Bros. will offer access to the police tab at the downtown restaurant located at 2 Market Square. The location is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“I want to thank the people on the front lines who put themselves at risk every day to keep us safe,” said Murray.
Primanti Bros. is currently offering pick-up only service, but orders may be placed by calling ahead or in-person at the restaurant. Officers should be present and show a badge to access the tab.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police are searching for two suspects involved in a hit-and-run accident with one of their police cruisers on the North Side in the early morning hours on Tuesday.
Police say that the officer driving the cruiser was not injured.
The accident happened near the Zone 1 Police Station on Brighton Road around 12:30 a.m.
There was visible damage done to the passenger side of the police car and the side mirror was ripped off.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University officials said a student was arrested and charged after threatening to go on a “shooting spree”.
In a statement, the school said University Police acted on a tip and arrested 21-year-old freshman student Cheickna Kagnassy from Columbia, Maryland at Vandalia Hall Wednesday night. University Police Deputy Chief Phil Scott said someone called officers after hearing Kagnassy speak about carrying out the “shooting spree” and then killing himself.
According to the statement, Scott said no weapons were found where Kagnassy lived.
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. – A woman is facing charges after being caught on the Pennsylvania Turnpike with $2 million worth of heroin hidden in her SUV.
Ana Rodriguez Gonzalez was arrested along a stretch of the road in Somerset County. She is in the Somerset County jail.
The bust is the largest by the State Police TACET Team.
PITTSBURGH – A 3-year-old boy was found wandering alone early Thursday morning on a street in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood, authorities said.
Police were called shortly after 2 a.m. to the area of Mathews Avenue and Bausman Street.

A 25-minute police chase in Beaver County started in Aliquippa and traveled through several communities before ending in Center Township.
The chase began around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday and ended around 6:45 a.m. when the suspect’s vehicle hit a Center Township police vehicle.A woman was taken into custody.
State police in Indiana County are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who stopped to render aid at the scene of a fatal crash.
The crash happened April 19 on State Route 286 in Center Township.State police are asking anyone with information to call 724-357-1960.
Waterloo police said there is a $6,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person who shot her.“We are also asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in this area or has a trail/surveillance camera in this area to contact the Waterloo Police Department Investigations Division at 319-291-4340, Option 7,” the department said.
