Darlene Harbison was last seen Sept. 11, and her significant other – Eric Gibbs, 57, the chief suspect in her disappearance — was found dead in an apparent suicide six days later.
On Monday, a hunter in Worthington spotted a motorcycle over a hillside near Nichola Road, according to Allegheny County police. He reported the license plate number to state police in Kittanning, who discovered it was registered to Ms. Harbison.
Remains found near the motorcycle are believed to be Ms. Harbison. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office will make a formal identification and rule on a cause and manner of death.
