PITTSBURGH —
A 6-year-old boy died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Pittsburgh’s Glen Hazel neighborhood.
The crash happened shortly after 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on Johnston Avenue.
The boy, identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office as Jamel Austin, of Pittsburgh, died at the scene.Pittsburgh Public Safety said the driver of the SUV that struck the boy stayed at the scene and voluntarily submitted for testing.
No charges have been filed as police continue to investigate.
