The Armstrong County Coroner’s office has identified the man as Brandon Weaver, 26, of Templeton.
The Pine Township-Templeton Volunteer Fire Department reported on Facebook Weaver was a member of its fire department.“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to announce the very unexpected passing of one of our firefighters, Brandon Weaver. Our sincere heartfelt condolences go out to the Weaver and Blaniar families in this very hard time. Please keep all of them, and the rest of our firefighters in your thoughts and prayers in this most difficult time. Rest in Peace Brandon, we can take it from here.”
According to the coroner’s report, the incident occurred in Pine Township around 7:50 p.m. Friday.
Weaver was riding a 2019 YZ 250 motorcycle north on State Route 1030 when he lost control of the bike, left the roadway and came to a rest against a tree, the report said.
