Lee Chavez, 43, of Aliquippa, is expected to face charges
PITTSBURGH —
State police said an attempt to pull over a vehicle led to a chase, a crash and an arrest.
The incident started a little after 12:20 a.m. Friday on the 400 block of Fort Pitt Boulevard, where state police said they attempted to stop a vehicle with an expired registration and for which the owner had several active arrest warrants.
State police said the driver initially stopped the vehicle, but when a state police trooper approached, the driver sped off, leading to a pursuit through the city of Pittsburgh.Police said the driver later crashed and then ran off.
Police said they pursued him to the lower-level parking lot on the 300 block of Fort Duquesne Boulevard, where a stun gun was used to stop the suspect.
The suspect, identified as Lee Chavez, 43, of Aliquippa, is expected to face charges.
