The Washington Street bridge in Swissvale was shut down unexpectedly Thursday evening after drivers reported feeling movement or shaking while crossing over it.
Swissvale Fire Chief Clyde Wilhelm said one driver felt movement or shaking while coming across the bridge, then pulled over. Another driver also pulled over behind the first driver stating they felt movement on the bridge too.
