PITTSBURGH — A body was found in the Allegheny River in Downtown Pittsburgh Wednesday afternoon.
Pittsburgh Police said they were called to the Allegheny River near the 10th Street Bypass after someone spotted a possible body in the water.
River Rescue found a body face down in the water and paramedics confirmed that the person was dead.
The Allegheny County Coroner said that the drowning victim was 55-year-old Kevin Eggleston of New Castle.This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
