Count undated mail ballots, Commonwealth Court judge rules; Mehmet Oz remains ahead as Pa. Senate primary recount continues

President Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer ordered elections officials to keep track of how many undated ballots there are. Election officials estimate there are about 800 statewide.

• The Pennsylvania Republican Senate primary between celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz and former hedge fund CEO David McCormick is undergoing a recount.

• The recount needs to be completed by June 7, with the final results announced June 8. Oz led McCormick by fewer than 1,000 votes before the recount, but the exact number of votes remaining is unknown.

• McCormick’s campaign plans to ask for a hand recount in specific precincts in 12 counties. A hearing is scheduled for Monday.

• The winner of the recount will face Democratic Senate candidate Lt. Gov. John Fetterman. In the Pennsylvania governor’s race, it’s state Attorney General Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, versus Republican state Sen. Doug Mastriano.
