Two vehicles were involved in the fatal crash on Interstate 376 near Oakland.
Police said a westbound vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle in the middle lane. The first vehicle then spun onto the shoulder and hit the concrete barrier, police said.
The medical examiner’s office said Lashawn A. Davis, 36, of Pittsburgh’s North Side, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The inbound parkway was closed for nearly three hours following the crash.
