Pittsburgh woman accused of chasing man with gun, causing 3-vehicle crash

Pittsburgh police have charged a Pittsburgh woman with aggravated assault and other offenses after she allegedly pursued a man in a vehicle, waving a gun, and allegedly caused a crash.

The crash happened on the 3100 block of Shadeland Avenue in the city’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood on Monday evening.

He said he had recently broken up with Summers.

The victim told police Summers was rear-ending his vehicle repeatedly until she hit his vehicle hard enough to cause him to hit a vehicle going in the opposite direction.

The victim said he then got out of the vehicle and ran to the woods nearby because he thought Summers was going to shoot him.

Police said a person who called 911 also observed a handgun in the hands of the driver who was pursuing the victim’s vehicle.

Investigators said Summers later reached out to them, reporting a hit-and-run crash.

Police said she told them she was only trying to flag down the victim to talk to him when the crash happened.

However, police said they made the decision to charge Summers based on the evidence and witness statements.
