PITTSBURGH —
Two people died and eight people were injured in a mass shooting in Pittsburgh’s North Side early Sunday morning. The two victims who died from their wounds were juveniles.
The victims were identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as 17-year-old Mathew Steffy-Ross of Pitcairn and 17-year-old Jaiden Brown.
Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 video showed a shattered second-floor window and bullet holes in an Airbnb rental property at Madison Avenue and Suismon Street where police said the shooting happened. A car parked in the lot across the street also had bullet holes and a broken window.
Police said Zone 1 officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts around 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Suismon Street. Additional shots were being registered in the area as first responders arrived on scene, and several young people were seen fleeing, police said.

Several more shots were fired outside the home.”
