PITTSBURGH —
Two people, both juveniles, are dead and at least nine people are injured after a shooting in Pittsburgh’s North Side early Sunday morning, police said.
Pittsburgh Zone 1 officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts around 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Suismon Street.Additional shots were being registered in the area as first responders arrived on scene.
Police say several young people were observed fleeing the area on foot and by vehicle from an apparent AirBnB property that had been rented on Suismon Street and Madison Avenue.
About 200 people were inside at the time, many of them underage, police said.
