Grave concerns: Three homicides in four days spark calls for change, teamwork in Johnstown | WJAC

Six homicides in the City of Johnstown in 2022, three of them in a span of 94 hours, has created a lot of concern in the community.

Since Friday, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees has ruled three deaths as homicides, one a case of child abuse, and two shootings on consecutive days.

“I am gravely concerned,” Lees said about the sudden rise in homicides.

City council members, at an unrelated special council meeting Tuesday, expressed sadness and a vow to change.
