The occupants were able to escape but it’s believed some of their exotic pets were left inside at the time of the fire.
Just after 6:30 a.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire was called to the 400 block of Edgemont Street when a fire started in the basement of the home and spread up the walls to the roof.
