PITTSBURGH — Two people were shot late Thursday night in Pittsburgh’s Perry North neighborhood, investigators said.
Police found the victims when they were called shortly after 10:30 p.m. to Woods Run Avenue.
One person who was shot was inside a home, police said. He had been shot in the back, and officers provided aid until paramedics arrived to take him to a hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
The second shooting victim was found at the intersection of Woods Run and Mairdale avenues, police said. That person had been shot in the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet.Three people were detained by police at the scene.
A K-9 was hurt by a dog inside the home where police were investigating. Officials said the dog was treated and is OK.
