Situation began Wednesday night and ended on Thursday morning
HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A SWAT situation in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County ended with one person in the hospital.
The situation began around 10 p.m. Wednesday at a home near Edna Road and Bucktown Road.
Police and the SWAT team were called there.
Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, an ambulance and a medical helicopter showed up at the scene.
Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 confirmed at least one person was taken to the hospital.
Investigators have not confirmed why police and the SWAT team were called to the home.
