PITTSBURGH —A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition following a stabbing in Pittsburgh’s South Side Slopes neighborhood.
The incident happened around 1:20 a.m. Monday at an apartment complex on the 2100 block of East Carson Street.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said officers found the victim inside an apartment with lacerations to his face and hands.
The victim told police another man attacked him with a serrated knife.
The suspect was taken into custody but taken to the hospital fire due to asthma or breathing problems.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said he is expected to face attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges.
