Body recovered from Ohio River in Pittsburgh

A body was recovered from the Ohio River on Thursday afternoon, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials confirmed.

Officials said a survey crew found the body in the water near the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority around 2:45 p.m.

River Rescue crews transported the body to its North Shore boathouse for transfer to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released.
